Raangi Movie Plot

Thaiyal Nayagi is a fearless investigative journalist working for an online news portal, dedicated to promoting equality, democracy, and justice. She gets arrested by a special police task force for the murder of Police Inspector Krishnamurthy, but is later rescued by a team of FBI and CBI agents.

The story begins a few weeks earlier when Thaiyal encounters Inspector Krishnamurthy during a routine police check and records him making inappropriate comments, which she exposes online. In retaliation, the inspector sends goons after her, but Thaiyal stands her ground.

Meanwhile, Thaiyal’s niece, Sushmitha, looks up to her aunt and admires her courage. However, Sushmitha becomes a victim of blackmail when a college boy threatens to release private videos of her. Unaware of the situation, Thaiyal discovers the truth and confronts the boy. She also learns that a fake Facebook account was created in Sushmitha’s name, through which she was being approached by middle-aged men.

Taking matters into her own hands, Thaiyal gains access to the fake account and lures these men to a hotel room under the guise of Sushmitha. She confronts them and takes decisive action, warning them against continuing such behavior by beating them up.
