Oh My God Movie Plot
Kanji Lalji Mehta is a middle-class Gujarati atheist who owns a shop selling Hindu idols and antiques in Mumbai. He mocks religious practices and beliefs until his shop is destroyed in a minor earthquake. Blamed by his family and friends for the disaster due to his atheism, Kanji decides to sue God.
However, he struggles to find a lawyer willing to take on his unusual case. Eventually, Hanif Qureshi, a Muslim lawyer from a working-class background, agrees to help him. Kanji decides to represent himself in court. He sends legal notices to the insurance company and religious figures like Siddheshwar Maharaj, Gopi Maiyya, and the founder of their religious group, Leeladhar Swamy, summoning them to court as representatives of God.

He loses his house to the mortgage provider, and his family abandons him.
