Custody Movie Plot

In 1998, A. Shiva, a carefree police constable, decides to elope and marry his girlfriend, Revathi, who works as a driving instructor. However, their plans take a drastic turn when Shiva becomes involved in a road rage incident and arrests Rajasekhar, also known as “Raju,” a notorious gangster who carries out illegal activities for CM Dakshayani and her political party.

While in custody, Raju discloses to Shiva that he is a CBI officer tasked with producing Raju in court within 48 hours. Raju possesses crucial information implicating Dakshayani in a staged bomb blast in Morampudi, aimed at overthrowing a regional party-led state government. Shiva contacts Varghese to confirm the situation.

Meanwhile, Dakshayani discovers Raju’s arrest and orders her goons and IG Nataraj to eliminate him. Nataraj and the goons attempt to kill Raju and George, but Shiva intervenes, subdues the goons, and escapes with Raju and George. Together, they head towards Bangalore, accompanied by Revathi. However, Nataraj tracks them down, resulting in their car plunging into a lake near a dam.

Shiva, Raju, Revathi, and George find refuge in the dam’s underground tunnel, where they face an attack from Nataraj. Tragically, George loses his life in the crossfire. After escaping Nataraj’s clutches, Shiva, Revathi, and Raju seek medical attention for Raju’s injuries sustained during the shootout. Unfortunately, Nataraj’s men are monitoring the hospital.

Later, the trio reaches Maj. Gen. Philips Satya Raj, and Raju undergoes surgery. They are then escorted by officers under Varghese’s orders. However, Nataraj and his goons surround them. Shiva and Raju fight back, with Philip also arriving to lend a hand in their escape. In a sudden turn of events, Raju manages to flee and reaches a fair, but Shiva locates him. Nataraj arrives and offers Shiva a deal: kill Raju in exchange for sparing Shiva’s father’s life. Heartbroken, Shiva’s father urges him to leave and tragically takes his own life. Shiva escapes once again with Raju and Revathi.

At the railway station, the trio is attacked by Raju’s brother, Ravi, who has been bribed by Dakshayani to kill Raju and take his place. A fierce fight ensues, resulting in Raju killing Ravi. Shiva, Revathi, and Raju board a train bound for Bangalore, closely pursued by Nataraj and his men. Another intense battle erupts, during which Raju sacrifices himself to save Shiva. Devastated by the loss, Shiva proceeds to court the next day.

In court, Shiva unveils a surprising revelation. He had secretly recorded Raju’s confession regarding Dakshayani’s involvement in the bomb blast and presents the evidence. Dakshayani, Nataraj, and other implicated officers are subsequently arrested. Following this victory, Shiva and Revathi begin planning for their upcoming wedding.
