In the fictional Middle Eastern city of Al-Barakat, Ankit Sethi owns a diamond insurance company, which is heavily in debt after the company’s employees lost a customer’s ₹20 crore worth of diamonds. He meets Neha Grover, a flight attendant, on a flight and is instantly attracted to her. They later go on a date and Neha also starts liking him.
They begin a relationship and after some time, Neha announces that she is pregnant. Ankit proposes to marry her and she accepts. They are both attacked by a pair of goons working for a client to whom Ankit owes a debt. Neha is seriously injured, causing her to have a miscarriage. Seeing no other way to repay the huge debt, they both decide to carry out a heist.
The corrupt Indian Home Minister, Harish Sanyal would smuggle the diamond into India from Al-Barakat by plane, which would be carried by a courier appointed by him and marked with him. The back cover of a diamond-encrusted cellphone will be placed inside a briefcase that will be locked with a code number. Ankit strikes a deal with Sanyal’s secretary to reveal the code number and in return he will give him half the diamond.
Once on the flight, Ankit and Neha set their plan in motion – Neha purposely spills food on the courier’s clothes while serving passengers, and he goes to the washroom to clean up the mess. Taking the opportunity, Ankit goes to retrieve the diamonds from the briefcase, but just then a group of masked terrorists arrive, announcing that they have hijacked the flight, taking all the passengers hostage.
The hijackers ordered the pilots to land at Kullu and demanded the immediate release of Adil-Mir, a Kashmiri separatist who was jailed in Manali. Ankit pretends to be suffering from asthma and requests the kidnappers to allow him to get his inhaler from another compartment, so that he can secretly steal the diamonds. But before he can steal the diamonds, one of the kidnappers senses that he is lying, and beats him up.
When government officials contact the hijackers, they head to the cockpit to talk to them on the telephone and Ankit enters the other compartment again to steal the diamonds. He takes out the diamonds from the briefcase and puts them in his bag. Just then, one of the kidnappers arrives and searches for the diamond. Before he can shoot Ankit, she snatches the gun from his hand and they both engage in a brutal fight. Other kidnappers also come and together they beat up Ankit and lock him in the washroom.
That’s when Sudhanshu Pandey, the flight marshal, picks up a gun dropped by one of the hijackers, and shoots them all, presumed dead. The passengers have been safely evacuated from the aircraft.
